Ratification

In this phase, the Board of Directors ratifies the Technical Specifications previously Approved by the Working Group.

During the Ratification, the Board of Directors will acknowledge that the Technical Specifications are bound to the Organization's Intellectual Policy (IP).

Notification to BoD

The Working Group Chair or the Board of Directors Chair is the person that sends the request for Ratification to the Board of Directors.

Present Release to BoD

  • It is a good practice to present to the Board of Directors an Executive Summary (two or three-page presentation) about the content sent for Ratification.
  • The Working Group Chair SHOULD present this document in case the Board of Directors have any particular question.
It is not expected to have a technical debate during the Board of Directors meeting.

Inform Ratification Outcome

  • The Project Manager or Working Group Chair will inform the Working Group of the outcome of the Board of Directors Ratification by sending an email to the Working Group and cc to the rest of the Organization.
  • Board Ratifications follow Semantic Versioning process to name the Version of each Release.

GitHub Release Tag

  • In this step, the Working Group Project Manager (PM) will create a Release Tag of the Technical Documents approved by the Board of Directors
  • The PM SHOULD send a notification to the Working Group and the rest of the Organization containing the link of the new Release Tag
